For the Winter season 2011/12 the slopes and lifts will be open in Val Gardena from 3 december 2011 until 15.4.2012. Top Events in december 2011 are the World Cup Super-G (16.12.2011) and the Downhill Race (17.12.2011) on the Saslonch run. Special offers in Val Gardena: Val Gardena SuperPremière (from 3.12. to 23.12.2011), Fis Ski World Cup Dolomiti Classics (15.12. - 18.12.2011), SuperKids (from 17.3.2012), SuperSun (from 24.3.2012). On December 10 and 11, 2011, on Monte Pana above S. Cristina is scheduled the first FIS OPA Continental Cup (COC). It is the second highest cross-country ski racing series of the International Ski Federation FIS. Thanks to its 83 ski lifts and 175 km of ski runs aswell as its 110 km of cross country slopes and 2 sledgecourse, Val Gardena is recognised as a major Alpine ski area. The three villages of Selva, St.Christina and Ortisei are easily connected with each other by the Ciampinoi, the Col Raiser and the Seceda ski areas. The Sella Ronda, which passes through the village of Selva, connects the other valleys. From Selva Gardena you can start your ski trip to the Marmolada, Lagazuoi or Gran Risa in La Villa. Mountainbike paradise of the Dolomites. The Val Gardena is also a paradise for mountain biker.
